This isn’t just a service—it’s a piece of my heart.
I volunteer with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, a nonprofit organization that offers remembrance photography for families facing the heartbreaking loss of a baby. It’s hard to put into words what this work means, but I’ll try—because I believe it matters more than most people realize.
I do this because every life, no matter how short, deserves to be honored. These little ones are deeply loved, and their families deserve something real and beautiful to remember them by. When families are thrown into the darkest moment of their lives, they don’t have the strength to ask for something like this—but they’re so grateful when it’s offered. These photos become a lifeline. Proof that their baby was here. That they were held. That they mattered.
I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is—how healing it can be—to have even a single image. It’s not just photography. It’s memory. It’s legacy. It’s love, captured tenderly and reverently in the midst of deep sorrow.
If you or someone you know is going through this kind of loss, please know: you are not alone. There is support. There is care. And there are people—like me—ready to gently hold space for you and help preserve the memory of your baby in a way that honors their life with dignity and grace.
